This video is excellent for raising awareness of the physical and psychological effects of Ménière's disease and is essential viewing for family and friends of people who have this condition. Our thanks go to the following people who featured in this video in order of appearance:

ITEMS 6 to 11 – Information Sheets -

ITEM 6 – Serc (Betahistine). Serc is a medication, usually free of side effects, that is commonly prescribed for use on a daily basis for the alleviation of Ménière’s Disease. It is believed to increase the microcirculation of the inner ear.

7 – Stugeron (Cinnarizine)
– This medication is not registered in
ITEM 8 – Urea – by Professor WPR Gibson AM MD FRACS FRCS. Urea can be used as a short-term diuretic to reduce the fluid build-up in the inner ear and provide a “safe period” of several hours when a vertigo attack will be unlikely to occur. ITEM 9 – Endolymphatic Sac Removal – by Prof. WPR Gibson AM MD FRACS FRCS. This sheet describes the “drainage theory” of Ménière’s attacks and the operation to remove the Endolymphatic Sac. This operation can prevent or reduce the number of vertigo attacks for some years.
