Enveloping The Balancer  These are photos of our volunteer Management Committee preparing the newsletter for posting to members. This is a substantial task and takes most of a whole day. (Two pages).

 

Hearing Loss and SHHH  Hearing loss is a common progressive symptom of Meniere's. Self Help for the Hard of Hearing is one of the volunteer organisations who assist people who are hearing impaired. (One page).

 

Cochlear Implant  This is an inspiring account by Len Ulrich of receiving a cochlear implant to relieve his severe hearing loss. Len had very bad Meniere's, which led to his  hearing loss. (Two pages)

Report on our Public Meeting of 24th June 2006  This is a large file – 1,150 KB. It includes a number of diagrams. It may take some time to download. This report was published in The Balancer newsletter in September 2006. It includes two detailed presentations by medical experts in the areas of balance and vertigo. (Twelve pages)

 

Report on 2006 Regional Meeting  We hold at least one regional public meeting each year, to enable local members to get together, to meet their committee and to hear speakers. These meetings also help to raise awareness of Meniere's. In 2006, the regional meeting was held in Maroochydore, Queensland. Although we are called the Meniere's Support Group of NSW, we also cover Queensland, the Northern Territory, and the Australian Capital Territory. (One page, with photos)

 

Cathy's talk  Cathy (our assistant editor) gave a talk in late 2006 to her local discussion group on aspects of dealing with Meniere's. (One page, with a photo)
